Dog Grooming
Our groomer, Vera Hustad is certified from the Wisconsin School of Professional Pet Grooming. She was our first employee at The Dog Hut and has been with us since we opened in 2011. She is skilled at handling your dog whether it is their first visit or they are regulars. She is familiar with standard breed cuts and can also follow your more creative requests for styling. Be prepared for one of the cleanest, cutest dogs in town!
Our full service includes a bath with massage and conditioning shampoo, full brush and blow dry, hair cut, nail trim, ear cleaning and anal glands. We also offer baths, nail clipping, deshedding treatment, ear cleaning and anal glands as individual services. We take cleaning seriously at The Dog Hut! The grooming area is disinfected in between each appointment to ensure all of our pups remain safe and healthy.
Grooming is available Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Requirements
Proof of rabies vaccination before grooming and all dogs must be on a leash.
Appointment Information
When you schedule your appointment, drop off will be at that time. We do not require early drop off or certain pick up times. We will call you when your dog is done with his or her appointment and ready for pick up.
Daycare dogs can schedule their grooming appointments on the day they come to The Dog Hut each week. Vera is almost always available for a last minute bath or nail trim request for daycare pups.
Please bring any specific instructions on the day of your hair cut appointment. Photos can be helpful in explaining certain length or styles.
We give reminder calls for all appoinments, and advance notice is appreciated for any cancellations. We often have a waitlist and can accommodate others if you have a need for canceling.
Grooming Rates
Light Grooming:
Nail Clipping: $15 for daycare dogs, $20 for all other dogs, add $5 for dremel filing
Anal Gland Expression and Ear Cleaning: $15 each
Furminator Deshedding Treatment: $20-$30
Bath and Light Brush: $20-$45, based on dog size. Add ons can include a full blow out or paw trim.
Full Grooming (conditioning shampoo, massage, blow dry, brush out, short or long hair cut, nail clipping, ear cleaning and anal gland expression): $55 minimum
Prices are based on hair length, condition of the hair and total grooming time.
Day care customers receive 10% off all full grooming appointments.
